A Marion man was shot Friday night outside his house.
The incident happened around 11 p.m. when 22-year-old Dezmond McQreary heard females arguing in the Greentree Apartment area.
He approached the females at which time he was shot, according to the Marion Police Department’s Deputy Chief Stephen Dorsey. It was reported that the suspect(s) entered a dark-colored vehicle and fled the area.
McQreary was transported to Marion General Hospital for medical treatment as he sustained a single gunshot injury to the groin area and was later released.
One .22 caliber shell casing was recovered from the scene. No other injuries were reported.
