Jonesboro extends stay-at-home order, city buildings remain closed to walk-in traffic

The Mayor of Jonesboro has issued second executive order continuing the stay-at-home orders for all Jonesboro residents in support of Gov. Holcomb’s executive order.

According to Mayor Bob McNutt, all city buildings remain closed for walk-in traffic and the Utility Billing Clerk is operating from home, but may be reached at 765-674-1196 during normal business hours.

The park area continues to be closed, including playground equipment.

Mayor McNutt says walking is encouraged and supported: however proactive social distancing is required.

The police chief has also been appointed to ensure residents are following the order.

“We want all residents for the city to be safe should there be a need call 674-6963 for assistance,” McNutt said.

The orders remain in effect until April 20th.
