After missing most of the summer movie season, Marion’s AMC Classic Theaters are set to reopen on Sept. 3. Theater manager Craig Armstrong said that cleaning and safety training will take place starting August 24th. As part of its’ new protocol, AMC will require all moviegoers to wear face covers.
According to the AMC website, additional health and safety procedures will include social distancing guidelines, limited menu options, a temporary halt on popcorn and drink refills, reduced auditorium capacities and an encouragement to use cashless transactions.
AMC theaters recently announced that reopenings will begin August 20th at 100 locations nationwide. The world’s largest movie theater chain shuttered its doors back in March and then had to delay a mid-July re-opening.
