A pillar of smoke blotted out the sky last night as a fire grew at Shrouts Towing, located at 1015 North Horton Street in Marion.
According to police, first responders were dispatched to the area at approximately 5:13 p.m.
Jordan Lamb with the Marion Fire Department stated that it took multiple agencies approximately 2 hours to get the fire under control.
Lamb said they had problems with a fire hydrant and had to call in other fire stations to bring water and eventually foam.
According to Lamb, no one was injured during the fire, though a number of cars were damaged.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
