An Indiana Senate committee is asking INDOT to rename a section of an interstate. If the plan moves forward, one mile on I-465 would be named the “James C. Cummings Jr. Memorial Mile”. The name is in honor of the founder of the Indiana Black Expo and the National Black Republican Council. Cummings died in April of 2020. He was 90 years old.
