The Converse Town Council is weighing a decision on the future of the old Borderman Gym to see if the facility can be saved or not.
The nearly century-year old gym has been used as a recreation and community center since Converse High School closed, but has fallen into disrepair.
Spokesman Andy Horner says the Council recently had a study done on the gym and found there are three possibilities, and none are cheap. Estimates range from about $700,000 to 1.5-million.
Horner says the council wants to let Converse residents study the proposals and hear back from them before deciding what to do. That could take a couple of months.
