Another Hoosier could soon sit on the U-S Supreme Court.
Just last year, Amy Coney-Barrett was confirmed to a seat on the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago. Now Barrett is on President Trump’s list of six finalists to fill Justice Anthony Kennedy’s seat on the Supreme Court. Kennedy is retiring at the end of the month.
Barrett is a Notre Dame graduate and once was a clerk for the late-Justice Antonin Scalia. If Barrett is nominated and confirmed she would join Chief Justice John Roberts as the second Hoosier on the nation’s highest court.
