CASA of Grant County will hold its’ annual sand sculpture contest Saturday at the Splash House in Marion and organizers say it should be the biggest and best one yet.
The Court Appointed Special Advocates organization has held the contest for the past ten years as a major fundraising event for the program that benefits local children caught up in the court system.
Organizer Leslie Hendricks says CASA officials have been overwhelmed with the success of the sand sculpture contest over the past decade.
The 25 teams of sculptors will create their sand magic from 10 until 3 Saturday, then awards will be announced at 4. The public may come to the Splash House Saturday to view the sand sculptures for free.
