Indiana Legislators are trying to fix last year’s law legalizing cannabis oil. The opposition is coming not from those who are against its use, but those who are for it.
Last year’s law allowed the use of C-B-D oil for certain kinds of epilepsy, but failed to legalize its sale. State Senator Mike Young’s bill would plug that hole by adding a bar code for stores to scan, and requiring them to keep the oil in a locked case.
Brandy Barrett lobbied for C-B-D oil for her daughter for five years, but says the extra requirements would make the product almost impossible to get.
