A housing study shows there’s a great need for new housing in Kokomo.
The study shows a strong demand for both affordable and market-rate rental housing within the city. The study found that the average occupancy rate for apartments is nearly 97-percent, that most of Kokomo’s rental housing facilities date back to the early 1980s, that demand has greatly increased in the past eight years and that more apartments are needed even when taking into consideration new ones that are under construction.
