Hundreds of students at Ball State University and Muncie Central High School walked out of class Wednesday.
All were there as part of the National School Walkout, a 17-minute walk to call for legislation protecting students from gun violence, while honoring the victims of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida last month.
Organizers say they were not protesting local schools, but just wanting to shine a light on a major problem.
