Governor Holcomb Calls For Special Legislative Session

Governor Eric Holcomb has ordered Indiana lawmakers to come back for a special session after they failed to pass several key bills before adjourning.

The governor did not give specific dates, but said it would happen sometime in mid-May.

Holcomb identified five things he wants lawmakers to focus on in the special session:  Increase funding for the Indiana Secured School Fund…allow school corporations to obtain funding advances for school security equipment and capital purchases…provide Muncie Schools with a one-time 12-million dollar loan…conform with federal tax reform changes andcomply with I-R-S rules to protect federal taxpayer information and assure access to federal tax data.
