While the minimum wage went up in several states Tuesday with the start of the new year, the minimum wage in Indiana remains on par with the federal level of 7-25 per hour.
In Michigan, the minimum wage increased yesterday to 9-45 per hour. In all, 20 states raised their minimum wage, either with a move by the legislature…such as in Michigan’s case…or with a vote by citizens. The minimum wage in some states will surpass 16-dollars per hour.
