Downtown Muncie is going to be the home of a software company which plans to invest more than 5.5 million dollars to purchase and redevelop the former Sears department store building.
In an announcement made this morning, the Muncie Delaware County Economic Development Alliance welcomed Accutech Systems to the community. Accutech, which specializes in software for the trust and investment industry, hopes to employ a minimum of 100 people by 2023.
The company intends to hire 20 new employees this year. Accutech was founded in 1987.
