Crime is down in Fort Wayne.
The city released statistics from the Fort Wayne Police Department, showing numbers are down in the first half of 2019 as compared to 2018.
The city says homicides are down 48%, non-fatal shootings have fallen 17% and drug overdoses are down 33.5%.
However, arrests for possession of a handgun without a license are up 22% and property crimes have risen 2%.
