Twenty-seven charged for Tippecanoe River party, most of them were minors

Twenty-seven people were arrested all at once on the Tippecanoe River in Pulaski County over Labor Day weekend.

The Indiana DNR says the arrests were in response to complaints including excessive littering and underage drinking on the river.

Conservation officers say they were patrolling the river by kayak when they came across a large group of people floating on Intertubes and drinking alcohol — many of whom were under 21.

They called for back up since there were so many people. One of the twenty-seven arrested was charged with pot possession.
