Big Ten Championship Game brings nearly $20M to Indianapolis

Nearly $20 million.

That’s how much money was spent in Indianapolis because of this year’s Big Ten Football Championship Game, according to Indiana Sports Corporation.

Saturday night’s game brought thousands of fans to Lucas Oil Stadium, as No. 1 Ohio State beat No. 9 Wisconsin.

The Big Ten Championship game has been in Indy every year since 2011. That contract runs through 2021.

Indiana Sports Corporation says it is competing against other Midwest cities for a new contract that will start in 2022.
