Very soon anyone over the age of 16 will be able to get a Covid-19 vaccine in the state of Indiana. There are 3 options currently available: Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson. All have been approved and you should register to get one as soon as you can, which ever one is available. Why? Because they work.
I know for many, they are hesitant. Just don’t believe in them, are getting misinformation from social media and their news channel of choice that fits the narrative they want to believe. By and large, vaccines have proven to work FAR more often than they don’t.
When I was a infant and young child, I got the shots for measles, mumps, and there have been vaccines that have help rid the world of small pox and polio. And how many of you get a flu shot every year? There will be exceptions where someone will get the vaccine for something and then contact something. By and large, this is a rare occurrence and not the norm. If we hope to achieve herd immunity, then we need a majority of us to get our free vaccination and continue to wear our masks a little longer. We can see the finish line. Normal life can return.
I have been fortunate to be the only member of the station who has not contracted Covid-19. I try and wear a mask in public to protect others and myself. Do your part, schedule your vaccine appointment as soon as you can. You will be glad when this is over and know you’ve done your part. I wish you all good health.
