I grew up in a split family when it came to NFL teams. My mom’s family was die-heart Bronco’s fans and my dad’s family was Steeler’s fans. We cheer for both teams except when they played each other. Even though I got to see John Elway play, I still loved to watch Peyton Manning as a Bronco.
The other night, Manning was inducted into the Pro Hall of fame which is much deserved. His speech was hilarious… which you would expect nothing less from him. He was joking about how they keep cutting the speech times shorter and shorter. Soon players are only going to have a matter of a minute to recap their successful football careers. He poked fun at Tom Brady… and said his speech will be so short, they can post it on Instagram.
But… as folks from Indiana know, Kenny Chesney and Manning are great friends. Chesney posted a photo from the event saying how excited he was for his friend and that it was an honor to be there to support him. A few weeks ago in an interview, Chesney said one of the coolest parts about being a celebrity is being friends with your sports heroes, which is the case here.
I love these two and it’s so cool to see how they support each other!
