You might have noticed that things have been quiet on 1400 AM WBAT lately. The 150-foot WBAT tower, located on Miller Avenue in Marion, collapsed sometime Saturday due to high winds.
Officials with Hoosier AM/FM, WBAT’s parent company, stated that no one was injured during this incident. Aside from the tower itself, no other property was damaged.
Thanks to technology put in place when Hoosier AM/FM launched WBAT’s FM signal in July, we are still able to provide our usual programming.
While WBAT’s AM station will be off the air until further notice, management is assuring listeners they can still enjoy the Greatest Hits All Day on 105.5 FM WBAT.
