One of my friends posted an Instagram story yesterday that hit home! I’ll post a picture of it below, but I’m not going to lie… it left me thinking and I’m taking her advice… that’s now my advice. Essentially the post was saying you need to be an adult and try and mend relationships that you found valuable. The only way to do this is to boss up and communicate. I know my generation specifically struggles with this and I’m included in this category! Lately, I’ve struggled telling people how I feel and that’s not okay!
Pride is the big issue here. You have to put your pride aside and use your words. If it hurts you that someone important has left your life, then tell them that. Recently I had a friend go from talking to me every day and spending a ton of time with me to avoiding me at all costs. Not talking to me and trying to not be in the same room as me. This all went down what seems like overnight. I’ve let my pride get in the way of trying to mend this and I’m not going to let that be the cause anymore and you shouldn’t either!
