I’ve changed a lot since I’ve gotten into the working world. I’m not going to lie… I use to be a people pleaser and let a lot of folks walk right over me! I thought by doing this, I would advance in life… Little did I know this was actually hurting me.
The second I connected those dots, my life was forever changed. Some people tell me I have an attitude, but in all honesty, it’s me setting boundaries, so I don’t get burned again as I did in the past. Friend, I know it’s hard to stand up for yourself, but if someone is not treating you how you want to be treated, you have to either stand up to them or walk away from them. I know both of these are hard things to do, but I promise your overall happiness will change when you chose to do either one of these things!
