I tell people all the time… I identify as a five-year-old! I learned very fast that adulting isn’t always fun. I do understand that there is a time and a place that you need to be professional, but you don’t have to be all the time. When you take life too seriously all the time, then you are missing out. I had a friend teach me that you can make work fun and still be professional. For that, I’ll forever be grateful. So if you feel like doing a cartwheel down the hallway… do it. If you need to take a break and go juggle your soccerball outside… do it. If you need to create a codeword game with your work bestie… do it. Make work fun because you have to spend a lot of time there.
