When you get hired onto a job, you get a job description. In today’s society, people will only do what’s included in that description. My parents made a good point this weekend. Not every situation can be included in the job description. Sometimes you have to do things that aren’t your problem to help others out.
They can’t put in your job description that you need to help clean up after work luncheons. They can’t put in your description that if an emergency happens you are responsible for XY or Z. Your work environment is a team. If someone needs help on something, help them out and just because it’s not in your job description, doesn’t mean you can’t help with it!
