A Marion man who seriously injured an elderly woman in a wheelchair last year when he struck her with his car and then drove away was sentenced yesterday in Grant County Superior Court Three.
The “Chronicle-Tribune” reports Ralph Hardin will spend nearly two-and-a-half years in jail after pleading guilty to the charge of Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury.
Hardin admitted that he struck 82-year old Nancy Furnish, who was traveling in a motorized wheelchair at the time. Furnish lost both of her legs as a result of that accident.
