The Indiana State Medical Association Alliance and the Fort Wayne Medical Society are holding a special “state baby shower” at the Fort Wayne IU Medical School next month, said WOWO.
Fort Wayne hopes this will bring awareness to infant mortality in Indiana.
ISMA-A President Dawn Davis says they’re focusing on improper sleeping setups because it’s one of the five leading causes of infant mortality.
Davis says a baby should sleep alone in its crib, on its back. The event is Oct. 23rd.
