A number of local law enforcement agencies are investigating a homicide after two 18-year-old victims were shot last night.
According to a press release from Grant County Sheriff’s Department Capt. Ed Beaty, Grant County Central Dispatch received a 911 call at approximately 10:19 p.m. Dec. 30 about a reported shooting.
When officers arrived at the area of 7900 E. 700 S., a white male and a white female, both age 18, were found shot inside the residence.
The female died as a result of her injuries and the male was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital for treatment.
The investigation remains ongoing, according to the press release, and the victims’ identities will not be disclosed until their families have been notified.
